Wilkinsburg Pentecostal Church

1700 Maplewood Ave. on the corner with Grand Ave.

In 1940 the Wilkinsburg Pentecostal Church celebrated its 25th anniversary.

The little Pentecostal Church on the hilltop that is 1700 Maplewood Avenue will observe its 25th anniversary on Easter Day. Launched on a blustery March day back in 1915 in a little old store at Penn Avenue and Coal Streets, the church has become to its congregation a veritable “glory shop.”

Several of the church’s charter members who are still active in its affairs including Rev. and Mrs. Thomas Float, who pioneered the work and who are still at the helm, are looking forward to a happy reunion and have invited all their old friends to share the day with them.

Listings from the 2010‘s place the Triune Baptist Church of Wilkinsburg at 1700 Maplewood Avenue. A real estate page records the building owner since 2015 as Trinity Temple Church.
